Common questions
What LinkedIn permissions does Klyo request?
Klyo requests openid, profile, email, and w_member_social scopes. This allows reading your profile information and publishing posts on your behalf. Nothing else.
Can Klyo read my LinkedIn messages or connections?
No. Klyo only requests the permissions needed for publishing. It cannot access messages, connections, or any private data.
What if I revoke the LinkedIn connection?
You can revoke access from LinkedIn settings at any time. Any scheduled posts will fail after revocation and you will need to reconnect to resume publishing.
How does Klyo connect to LinkedIn?
Through the official LinkedIn API using OAuth 2.0. Your LinkedIn password is never stored or seen by Klyo, because the OAuth flow never exposes it to us in the first place.
Can I publish immediately instead of scheduling?
Yes. Every post can be published straight away or added to the schedule queue. It is a choice you make at the moment of creation, not a mode you set once.
Can I see which posts have already been published?
Yes. Post history lists every post with its date, status, and LinkedIn post ID, and tracks draft, scheduled, published, and failed states separately.
What happens when my LinkedIn token is about to expire?
Klyo monitors token validity and alerts you before the connection expires, so publishing does not fail silently. Reconnecting takes about 10 seconds.
Is publishing through Klyo within LinkedIn's terms of service?
Yes. Klyo publishes through LinkedIn's official API rather than browser automation or scraping. Automated scraping and messaging tools are the category LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits; authorized API integrations are not.
